...creating beautiful memories
Sussex photographer Jane Allan Photography specialises in wedding photography, portrait photography and event photography. I love photographing people and I'm always chasing the next perfect photograph, when light, expression and just the right angle coincide.
As a wedding photographer my style is contemporary - combining formal wedding photography elements, such as bride and groom portraits and group photographs, with fly on the wall documentary coverage of getting ready, your wedding ceremony and wedding reception, followed by you and your guests mingling and having fun, the speeches and finally the first dance.
I am not just a Sussex wedding photographer as I travel all over the UK to photograph weddings. Surrey, Kent and London particularly are within easy reach of my Eastbourne photography studio. Some of the many lovely wedding venues where I have photographed weddings include: The Grand (Eastbourne), Horsted Place (Uckfield), Alexander House (Turners Hill), Powdermills Hotel (Battle), Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Deans Place Hotel (Alfriston), The George (Rye) and Buxted Park Hotel (Uckfield). These are just a few of the venues where I have photographed weddings - the beauty of wedding photography is that I'm constantly discovering gorgeous wedding venues ideal for photography.
As I mentioned, I love photographing people so I am also a portrait photographer and have a studio in Eastbourne, East Sussex. For fun, classic, funky or traditional portrait photography the studio is the best place to create the look you want. For ladies looking for a truly feminine portrait I offer boudoir photography. If you want to feel gorgeous, you've got to try this very popular and fast growing style of portait photography! My studio based portrait photography includes bump (maternity photography) and baby portrait sessions, couples, families, kids, corporate portraits for online marketing and PR, headshots and portfolio shoots for actors. I also offer pet photography which I like to combine with family portraits - why not work with pets and kids all at once!
For the adventurous bride and groom I offer Rock the Frock sessions - these portraits are great fun and ideal for when you get back from honeymoon and before you send your wedding dress to the dry cleaner - at a chosen outdoor location, such as the beach or in the woods, or in the studio. Sussex, Surrey and Kent have such a great selection of beauty spots that are just crying out to be used for Rock the Frock shoots, whereas London and Brighton offer fantastic urban settings. Rock the Frock shoots offer all the glamour of a wedding with none of the pressure, they're a bit whacky and are all about the wedding dress and expressing your personality. What better excuse can there be to wear your wedding dress again?
My photography studio is in The Old Print Works, Wharf Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, just a 1 minute walk from Eastbourne train station and has ample parking next door in the station car park. The studio is within easy reach of Brighton, Bexhill, Hastings, Lewes, Tunbridge Wells and London.
